oil pan removal 6.9

trying to pulled an oil pan from an engine i purchased, removed all bolts and i can not pry it off, the back comes up but the front will not move, seems as if something is holding it in place, am i missing something?

Hi Arcjack, I have not done this job before, but something seems to tell me that the oil supply arrangement involving the three high pressure hoses is more complex than meets the eye. I would imagine that Motec 6.9 May we'll be able to clarify some matters for you - certainly his machine shop, Southside Engines, may well be able to shed some light on this situation. As a matter of interest, why are you trying to remove the sump ? Something tells me I have read about your efforts to recondition your engine. Am I correct ? Regards. Styria
