Soft top removal

Please help, I have to drive in a Anzac Day parade on the weekend with the roof down, weather permitting. The locking pin in the centre at the back will not release. It pops up but will not let go. Is there a way of getting it to release.

After reading some more posts I found that I have been trying to release it incorrectly! Now I know it works as it should. :D you learn something every day.

It is one of the most annoying release mechanisms unfortunately.
Enjoy the parade, Hope the weather holds out.
