Brian with the engine running and the bowser going flat out, the light stays on and the fuel gauge doesn't move!!!! LOL!
Yes the pressure hits max at a hint of throttle. It's the same with all the other cars. Blue Flame's pressure was even lower at idle, but it needs a tune badly. Obviously idle speed has an effect. Not sure if it's better now after I changed the oil etc, as I moved onto Red Bull pretty quickly. And I can tell you Red Bull's oil was pretty horrible, but the engine doesn't appear gummed up. Time will tell when I pull the rocker covers to check the chain.
I used 10W-40 in Deep Blue and since then it seems to have developed a noisy lifter. Or it could be an exhaust leak from the extractor gasket. I've yet to check it carefully. If it is the lifter, I'll go back to the thicker 15W-50.
I'm trying the 10W-40 in both Blue Flame and Red Bull. I figure that the original oil was about that viscosity and if the engines can run fine on it, then I might get (slightly) more power. So far there's been no noises...
