Thanks for the 107 Link Styria....I could not agree more about the 110 DOHC Engine. Light and nimble. It was my choice over a V8. I bought a new 380 Sl in 1981 and sold it after 48K as it started to burn oil. I also remember it having a hard ride. My '81 280 SL I find to be smooth and I'm much older now ! The springs are original but the Shocks are new and very firm. Modern Michelin Energy Tires probably help.

6.9 forever - yes, it should be called a R107. When Admin. is eventually sorted out, this anomaly will be rectified. The same as the time period - it is now longer than forty years since the introduction of the R107 range.
