Comments from the article . Dum Red Necks most replies guilty of naval gazing. As for the US bumpers they are ugly . And ultimately Its subjective to how we connect with our cars their style and how they make you feel. Performance while impressive for the era they were born in . Restrictive 70's is not that special today. But that is not the reason we own old cars everyone has a different view on what they like. But that's what makes owning older cars enjoyable. My work Ecoboost FG Falcon is faster than my Euro 6.9 but its just a car close the door walk away don't look back. 6.9 go out side just to look at my car that is what makes a car special.

I regard the 6.9 more as a Shadow 11 competitor.
6.9 slightly better techincally, the Shadow11 nicer coachwork, with a more recognised name for prestige.
The 6.9 has better performance and presumably better roadholding, and is a slightly scarcer car.

By today's standards of performance, neither are muscle cars, and with the way road laws are now policed, can't be driven as muscle cars anyway.

Hi Tim if I was to get a M110 is would have to be either a W114 or W123 preferably the former .

Both models are superb cars.

We use to have a W114 and a three W123's have a soft spot for both model Mercedes.
