Ok...... so this probably doesn't count as a 'Modification' to most people - but for me it is. :D

So advice please. What are all the components that I can remove without having any effect on my engine (unless it's a weight reduction / HP increase effect).

Eg..

Compressor
A/C Radiator
Piping - How Much can I remove??
Aux Fan

Same with Cruise Control:

Modulator (is this inside the cabin - and where??)
The regulator / cable thingy (this is the cylinder thing on the back passenger side of the engine bay right??)
Any other throttle linkage for the Cruise Control?

I guess I need to know the most that I can remove.

Cheers,
Cam. :)

Does your cruise work? If so, I will catch up with you about some bits to fix mine.

BTW, if by 'Modulator', you mean the control module, its under the drivers side of the dash above the break pedal.

Nup, never worked - no idea what was wrong with it, cause I never bothered trying to fix it.

That's the module thing i'm talking bout - i'll be ripping that out.

So what components of the cable thingy can I remove - anyone??

I'm sure I've read somewhere on another forum that repasiring the cruise control was not that difficult.
Now if only I could remember whodunnit.

You should be able to go about it by... evacuating the system through the schrader valves, removing all the hoses/lines + compressor, and if you're going to take the dash out... remove the evaporator (in the heater box) and the controls for the A/C if you so wish. Removing the stuff under the dash would be the hardest part for sure.

Tim

P.S. the cruise control is easy to remove... just remove the vacuum unit/cable and the module, cable tie the electrical connector(s) out of the way. however you would have to be careful around the brake pedal switch... your brake lights also run off this circuit.
