Yes Geoff, I still have the 450SE. I will check this thread to determine if there are further details that I can post. I wouldn't mind finding a buyer for it as I will not be needing it. It should really go to a better home than what I am presently providing. Regards Styria

Hi Styria I suppose you could always put an alloy 5.0 M117 under the bonnet as you have ready access to one.

Interestingly if you put Euro 560 M117 in W116 450SE you would have a car a lot faster than a 6.9 .

Yeah but the problem is finding one at a reasonable price.... And after all that effort with (possibly) an engineer's certificate, to have a car that's worth far less and with a lot less rear legroom!

Yes but it would be fun replacing iron M117 with alloy M117. As you would have a better balanced car. Finding one not a problem have seen left hand drive ones on gumtree under 1000 dollars in Perth . Several right now around 2000 .

Hi Oversize, I don't really have any problems with my health, other than old age, so to speak -but I am getting rid of that as well in the not too distant future. Seriously though, I really have too many irons in the fire, and there simply is not enough time in the day, days in the week and so on. I have a potential six Rovers in the pipeline , two 6.3s (one needs a paint job in the not too distant future), then I have the 450SE, plus Gleaming Beauty and the 420SEL., the last named being my daily driver.

......and then there is TK, my music, Television (yes) and a fabulous.....

Styria WOW I didn't know you had so many! Yes I think it gets harder to find the time as you get older.

Motec I now have 3 alloy M117s which could be used if I ever find the time... However it's likely I'll sell them to fund the more important projects.

Use one in the back of an old speed bout . Buy old Holden powered boat with dead engine .
