I could be wrong, but I suspect that the car may have belonged to a guy called Peter - strange guy, but very pleasant. Member, or ex, of the MB Club. Maybe Michel can recall that we advised Peter of what sort of money he could expect to get for the car. Remember, the car , Michel ?

I think for years Peter was procastrinating to have the interior refurbished - it went on for about four years - will I, won't I - in the end, it was all too much and he settled for a new, newish everyday car. Well, that's about how I see it. BTW, no doubt, but Peter spent heaps on his car. I just hope we are talking about the same car. Regards Styria

Alas even though it is being sold by the same dealer as Sir Des old 6.9 . I don't think it will lure him back as he has not logged on since Feb 2012

....ah yes, we lost Des a long time ago. I vividly recall his stoushes with Michel as to who was the most prolific poster. For quite a while, Des left Michel in his wake.......Regards Styria

N.B. I used to like a lot of Des' posts - he seemed to have a particular liking for the 1930s period - you know, big Wehrmacht, big Adolf cars. Yes, I miss him. Regards Styria

I do agree it looks nice and other than the 6.9 I have always wanted a 450SE . I was thinking about a very nice 280E in Canberra before buying my 6.9 . So V8 is not everything to me .
