Styria's rear end?

Styria, the last time we spoke in person your 6.9 was sitting under a pile of doona covers in the garage awaiting a re-build to the rear end. Any progress or will this be you 2014 project?

HI BenzBoy, it will now obviously be one of my projects for 2014. I still like the idea of entrusting Helmet with this work, and he has quoted me a very reasonable price. Still, it needs an amount to be found and/or allocated, and for the last few weeks, I have been flat chat re-organizing my Rover 3 litre Coupes, parts for those in suitable order, and it has taken a lot of my time getting a number of issues sorted.

One of the main issues (among many) is the ability to locate parts that I have stored for a number of years, and these have all got to be found, evaluated, and I then have the task of fitting them in the correct location. When you are talking about changing gearboxes from Auto to Manual, re-locating brake lines, accelerator linkages, overdrive components - it is a task. So, I have to some extent been concentrationg on the Coupes. BTW, I have driven GB during the last few days, just to blow out cobwebs, and the rear transmission (?) noise (drive train) is not always evident. I must admit, I just love driving GB - such effortless power and the toxic exhaust snarl.
