The results were very disappointing for the sellers - and great for buyers. However, I noted on the inspection reports of a number of the cars that there was considerable underbody rust and that is going to scare any buyer who has done a proper investigation. I seriously considered the big BMW coupe but underneath the body it had sufficient corrosion to turn me off - my days of chasing Italian rust (or any other sort of rust) are over and I would rather deal with mechanical issues than deal with a never-ending corrosion problem.
A good sound Shadow sells for considerably more and I advise prospective buyers to stay away from neglected examples unless they want to take on a major project.
The car market is all a bit strange at the moment. The Economy is all a bit strange at the moment and I don't see it stabilising for the next few years.

Brian
