Hi Guys there is a nice looking w116 280se for sale at the up coming Shannons Sydney auction in November states that it has 116000km on it with full documented history sold at yorkstar motors

Looking at the photos of the 280SE shouldn't under the wheel arches be black original and not white is seen in the photos?

The '67 250SE Coupe the drivers seat is badly torn.

Timmy, the wheel arches, both front and rear, are body coloured from the factory. Do you remember that nice green 280SE at the concours ? According to its owner, it was a completely original car, but it did have black paint under all the wheel arches. It's only a minor point, but to some people it matters. To those, Gleaming Beauty would not appeal. Regards Styria

It would appear that shannons believe this car to be able to sell for 6000 i know it is a good looking car but only this year they sold a 6.9 for under 10000 with gahh interior 15inch bundts and other reasons to buy it

Yes that's because I had not read the other one and then started a new one. I went to Shannons on Saturday with a friend to look at the Jaguar.

It's not an issue. BenzBoy - there are more important things in life to worry about. BTW, , I thought you told us that the 'tin, tin, tin' was empty - or was it a halfpenny over the pound that broke the camel's back, yet you are looking at very expensive Jaguars - expensive, as in restoring and buying parts. I went to help Richard on the Jaguar - he already has a very nice MkVIII which is in 100% original condition and thought he might like the MkIX as well.
I think he has had second thoughts.
