1976 280SE - Canary Yellow in colour (with Engine Conversion to a 4.0L EL Falcon Engine) for Sale.

• Ford 4.0L Engine & 4 Speed Electric gearbox have been installed into this one of a kind beast. The engine conversion was completed by a very accomplished mechanic and is as tidy an engine conversion as you'll see.
• New Exhaust
• New Tailshaft (customised for the 4 speed electric gearbox)
• Immaculate leather interior
• Becker Mexico an perfect condition
• Chrome Wheel Arches
• Extremely Fast car!

This car has excellent fuel economy, great accelleration, and drives beautfully.
The body is straight as an arrow, interior is perfect, and paint is in great condition.
There is NO rust on the car!!

The car has not been engineered for the new Ford engine, however I have been advised by a Mechanical engineer that the only thing required to pass engineering is a brake test. No engineering is required for the engine capacity as they were released with an engine that has the same power output, thus power is not increasing from what they came from the factory with.

Hi SELfor50, I am surprised to see the car up for sale. Mind you, knowing what Cameron is capable of, and given the undoubted quality of his workmanship, this should make a great car for a new owner.

Quite sad to see it go, but it hasn't gone far.... Sold locally.

I had it detailed prior to sale, and boy did it scrub up alright. 'Almost' as bright as the 690SEL. Burnt the eyes in the sunlight.

Still not engineered, but the fella who took ownership, has all the skills and experience to get it to 100% and engineered. I'm pretty sure it'll be engineered and listed for sale in the very near future.. for much more than I sold it for though.

I'll post pictures of the 400SE's new home when I get them off the camera later tonight.

I feel naked having only 1 W116 in a garage.

Same mate, I don't think it'll be too long before it is on the road.
The fella who bought it said it'll have to go before the Mrs finds out.. she came home as I was leaving, so I'm guessing it'll be finished, engineered and sold before she has time to file for divorce.
