I think that the wheel arch flares and front air dam spoil the body style somewhat, but
if that is what you have to do to go racing, that is what is what you have to do.
I can understand why the integral hard top is required for extra body stiffness.
Actually, my eye also says that the coupe version looks a bit better than the roadster version with standard R107's, although the roadster would be more fun to drive.
The R107 is my favourite Mercedes in terms of body style.
