Continental tyres

Good morning,

This week the 300SE will be fitted with four new 205/65/R15 Continental ContiComfort 5 tyres.

Local Jax Tyres has a buy three Continental tyres and get the fourth tyre free special offer until April 30th.

I've always had good experiences with Continental.
Did you old favourites, the Toyos, wear out or did you just want a better tyre?

Hello Brian,

Yes I have praised the Toyo's for many years.

Well the Toyo's have not worn well on the Yaris and the Battleship.

Toyo's have done just shy of 40,000kms on Yaris all four tyres will be replaced before August rego.

Shop around for tyre prices and Jax's offer for the Conti's was very good.

Wednesday the Conti's will be fitted to the 300SE.

GOOD BRAND TIM , i aleays use continental on my W126 since i have it and never trade them for another.

my W116 which finally comes out this week is equipped with the new brand Marengoni tires but that cause i will hardly use the car and to try the new brand too.

Hello Tarek good to hear about the Conti's.

Smell of new rubber I will take the 300SE for a good drive just to feel and hear for myself what the Conti's are like.

no timmy it is 280 s model 85 , the 300 was not yet produced when i got mine .

you can call it last of the samurai LOL since 300 was produced after my car is produced by few months .

Good afternoon on this beautiful sunny day!

New Conti's were fitted to the Battleship this morning and a wheel alignment carried out as well.

Tyre shop manager at Jax's said to me 'very nice Mercedes Tim'.

No argument from me there that is for sure.

Now I have driven a 100km distance today and the Conti's feel superb a very smooth ride.

Order a set of 185/15" Conti's for the Yaris as well Jax have extended there special offer for the Conti tyres.

Ordered 4 new Conti Comfort Contact 5 tyres for the Yaris today.

Yaris requires 185/60/15 tyres.

Conti CC5 cost $140 each.

But the Jax Tyre's special offer for the Conti's ends tomorrow.

Yaris booked in at 3pm.

My Mum Bev is very happy with the Conti CC5's.

$469 total cost includes wheel alignment.

I drove the Yaris this arvo vast improvement so the Conti's are a good investment!

You have done very well, Tim. Those prices, especially for your car, are exceptional. If you have the time, check the sidewalls to ascertain the country of manufacture - I would be most interested where they have been made and what their LOAD RATING is. That info is important. Regards Styria

INDEED it is a bargain price for the CONTI but as the question is what SPEED can take , the letter V or something else , i don't recall now but i wouldn't think in AUSTRALIA the cheat and give less than required for taking the sprint, what is amazing that i usually put the 205/15/60 it gives the car extra stability and closer to the ground matter of fact.

NOW i didn't know that the YARIS can take the 15 inch tyres , but good to know .

P.S i understand from the offer was 140 x3= 420 means for 4 tyres almost 100 dollar for each plus 20 dollars for the work and adjustment . way too good

Hello Tarek,

Rims on the Yaris are 15" and the Toyota owners manual states to use 15" tyres and nothing less.

Other Yaris models were sold with 14" rims not the case with the '06 Yaris VVTI 1.5ltr 4cyl auto my Mum has.

Very good value for the Conti's both for cars and after checking prices with other tyre retailers they could not match the price.

It does pay to compare prices and shop around for tyres it's called good research.
