Just ran across this while looking for something else online. Thought it was pretty cool, actually.

LOL, I just spent the last 2 days riding in the back seat of ours and I'll tell you what, I wouldn't want that thing back there. There isn't THAT much room back there, lol. I am 5' 11" (180.34 centimeters) and I barely have enough room back there. And I agree, you must have to have the front seats in their fully upright position and all the way forward? I hope whoever you have driving you is short and skinny, lol.

I'm not afraid to say I TOLD YOU SO , it would be nice in streach limo but it would be restricting usage of front seats confortable and i'm clostrophobic wouldn't feel easy in the back either .

Yes, I know mine is not a LWB (although I would love to have one). Actually, I like the SDL model of the W126.

Either way, I still don't think I would want it in there......it still looked very restricting for the driver (which is namely me, lol). And I would not like being that crammed in there.

Well, not all things, or objects, or features, need to be practical. I am not sure about front seat adjustment with the partition in place, and that may be of some hindrance. However, considering that according to Mercedes studies back seats are unoccupied for 98% of a car's life, the price of restricted legroom in the back would be a small one to pay. Yep, I'd have that partition. Regards Styria

I live with 2 women, and when we go anyplace, one of them is the driver, so I am in the back seat when the three of us go anywhere in it. I am a good back seat passenger, lol. (The Suburban has massive room in it, lol)

Although cool, it would kinda creep me out to be separated from "my people" while driving, lol.

You got it totally wrong!

If you had the partition, YOU would drive and make sure the two women were in the back with the partition window up!!!

I like the fact that they've made it a little more luxurious, but it'd drive (!) me nuts! They's really not enough room available and I'd much prefer to speak to my passengers (even if it is two girls LOL)... :D I'd much rather put some effort into timber inserts on the door trims, or something else that's lacking on a W116; perhaps electric mirrors and seats? And have that blasted cracked dashboard replaced...

The girls and I will have been together for 13 years in April, so if we don't get along now, we never would, lol. (Actually kind of surprised that we get along as well as we do considering our birthdays are all within a week of each others).

LOL, and actually, they are the ones to always sit in the front and I am usually the one in the back.

I agree with Oversize, I would love more wood accents......I LOVE real wood, it makes everything prettier, lol.
