Have you looked at scrap(e)ing out all the sound deadening stuff in the floor pans / footwells? That would weigh a bit. Boot linings all removed too?

Still gotta remove the fuel tank though.

Driver still hasn't been lightened yet though. :eek:

...anyway, update on work. Stopped past the engine builders workshop. He's only done 1 chamber, waiting to test it on the flow bench to see what the difference is.
Still has to remove the round lip that's just down from the valve seats. Hard to tell in the photos though.

Hi BigBenz, SELfour50 is a real goer, and he doesn't mind getting stuck into things. Have not heard from him for a while about this project, but I am sure he's getting stuck into things somewhere along the line. Last I heard he did have some minor probs (or major ?) and it is hoped that he will let us have more details in due course.

The other major engine modifier is Motec 6.9 - again, have not heard from him in a little while now. BTW, if you need more inspiration, such as I can extend it to you, have a look at the 6.9 valve grind and decoke thread. There are two jobs involved - the one on Gleaming Beauty and the other with "Wilhelm", Chris P.'s 6.9 that is in Perth now. Regards Styria
