Hans - I include myself in my comment!!! I have been guilty of, at least, thinking 'You paid THAT much for THAT car!!'. It's all part of human nature where we want to pay as little as possible and receive the maximum when we sell.
I learnt today that my main competitor in the Concours of another club sold his car because he came second to me in class for two years in a row. I regret he has done that!!!! I would rather he had won and kept his car than gone over the top as he did. At least he traded it on a Mercedes-Benz S Class and did not loose money in the current climate but is that really the point?
Surely, driving, spannering and have a good time with friends is what the car movement is about?
