Hi Motec 6.9, personally I am not particularly enamored by the styling of this model. Too basic in execution, not totally graceful such as the later models or, for that matter, contemporary models from other manufacturers. What do you think ? Is it indeed one of your favourites, or did other manufacturers build a more pleasing variant of the 500K. Maybe factory genuine was better ? What do you think ? Regards Styria

Its rare being a tourer and UK bodied . Which for this period in time makes it unique. And Bazil don't mention the war.

I much prefer French car designs from this period . Well designers anyway like some Mercedes I have posted in the past.

The restorer needs Spec Savers too! Go and check the two different bolt lengths where the carburettor is bolted to the intake manifold. And then go and check the failure to seal the ends of the rubbing tape - that should be overlocked or if it is the modern variety it should be heat-sealed. 2 points off there for a start ...
Then check the over-sized bolt used to join the wiper arm to the blade - and the cupboard handle on the bonnet -
Despite those criticisms, that car can park its tyres under my bed any time it likes.

Like you posted and I have he needed jump starting . I think we have achieved that so no more comments in that regard. He seems excited by increase in visitors and posting on forum. He will be around to receive Royal letter on special Birthday .
