Rear Window Switch operation

Hi everyone, looking for advice - I think I know the answer, but would still appreciate confirming advice. Very simply the problem is this: When activating both the console and door switches to open the rear window, the window responds incorrectly by attaining the closing position. Conversely, if operating the closing function, the window winds down. Now, I do know that the wiring to the switch is correct, and I also think that the wiring to the console switch is correct. Assume this is an existing issue (as opposed to something that just started happening one day)?

I would suggest pull the door skin off and swap the wires around on one side of the little terminal block attached to the window mechanism. That's what I did with the recent dismantle (using a battery and 2 wires).
