Cheap Mercedes wanted

Looing for a cheap (i.e. under $4k) Mercedes for daily driving and commuting activities as well as the occasional highway run. Not really fussed what it is as long as it is in good condition and overall a reasonable car which is registered

As is the case with used car shopping, especially at the cheaper end of the market, there is a real mixed bag out there. I will keep looking myself, but I thought it worth asking here to see if anyone has, or knows of a suitable car for sale.

One of Paula's friends has a mid 90s smaller Benz (either E or C) and I believe she and her hubby are looking at around $3,500 with rego until early next year.

Hi bb, as you quite rightly said, it is a real mixed bag, with so many models encroaching on each other pricewise. Really, there is no rhyme nor reason that can be applied. BTW, what is happening in your neck of the woods ? You're not selling the Aurion, are you ? Anyway, please keep in touch. Regards Styria

Hi Styria,

Having a bit of a fleet change. The Aurion is already gone - replaced it with a Ford G6ET and the motorbike is on the market (if anyone out there wants a low km GSX1400, let me know).

After a cheap car for a bit of commuting, highway driving and to generally keep the high number of km I do off the Ford (although it will get it's fair share of use). Also a friend of mine who does not have a car themselves will use it as required.

Don't worry, the 6.9 is not going anywhere

The 6.9 is running well; drove it to work and on a couple of errands around town yesterday.

The turbo Falcon is a brilliant car, especially in terms of value for money.
