Changes to the on street parking permit limit and too many blocks of apartments in my area with no parking means one of my beasts has to go
It is a daily driver , goes well a few minor things to attend to as can be expected for 40 year old car. However no rust , good paintwork with only a few blemished a couple of minor dents , lovely full sheepskin seat covers , sony xplod stereo with ipod input and everything including the sunroof and air con works . Brendan, it looks like an excellent car, with all the right options. It'd be nice if the mileage was a bit lower, but I guess that's what it is. As a matter of interest, have timing chain/plastic guides been replaced ? If they have, might be an idea to mention it in the advertisement. I have not done timing chain , not sure about previous owner
Car runs very well as until recently was my daily driver
Good buy for anyone seriously interested as has all options including custom made sheepskin seat covers
I dropped into the seat cover place on Canterbury Rd today to price getting a similar set of custom sheepskin seat covers for my other 450SEL
$2000 !! May have to think about that

After my attendance at the French Day, I called in to Parklea markets to purchase some car mats for Julie's Honda Jazz and Ofenteney's 6.9. Whilst there, at the same retailer, I spotted two beautiful quality sheepskins - honestly, the absolute best out of three grades he had on hand. The back is just partially covered which I don't mind, head rests are incorporated (again I am happy with that feature, so to speak) and the price was $249.00 for the pair.

Just as a matter of interest, in order to fit and tie them on properly, it is advisable, probably even necessary, to remove the seats from the cars. That would then provide me with the opportunity to service the leather and pleats. I have some excellent leather dressing by an American manufacturer called MALCO. Regards. Styria

N.B. Apologies for crashing the thread. I realize, of course, that the quoted price of $2K. to Brendan would entail the removal of both front and rear seats plus, of course, separate head and arm rests, and that involVes considerable extra work. So, I am not comparing apples with apples.

Washing Sheep skin covers.. I have a 95% full Bottle of a special detergent to wash these covers. I'll bring it along to the August 'Get to Gather' if the surplus parts suggestion sale is still on ?
