it's trick photoshopping to highlight the highlights of the interior highlights - looks impressive, but doesn't show you much. One would take it for granted , however, that most cars in the upper price segment are blessed with some beautiful interior furnishings and clever features. It's quite marvellous. Regards Styria
Oh Dear - it looks like they may have made another Maybach.
No, not to my liking; it's just not beautiful in the way an Aston Martin or Maserati is. Let the Germans stick to engineering and outsource the design to an Italian company.

the MERCEDES will always rule , despite the negative comments of many other members of our community ,the S class will always be the top rank of the fleet at least till they reproduce the 600

The new S-Class is not somber... Nor is it ugly!
The interior is Mercedes all along.
If one desires a Maserati interior or an Aston-Martin, then one ought to look a those brands... warts and all.
It's an S-Class as only Mercedes-Benz would make it

Th current S Class is a delightful car to drive and I am sure it would be very easy to live with. On the basis of that the new should be even better. The engineering is not the basis of my criticism - I am concerned that the elegance we have come to expect of MB is simply not there. Instead we have tricky lines and complicated angles rather than recognition of the ancient but true Golden Principles of design.
Perhaps that is what sells?

Brian
