A-Class launch last night

We attended quite spectacular A-Class launch last night. Think MB will do well with this car in its segment. A180 starts at AUD40K on road, thru to AUD60+K for optioned up A200 Sport. A45 AMG in July.

Garry Crick Prestige Sunshine Coast used twilight airport as backdrop complete with music, helicopters and business jet backdrop. Also had raft of other current models on display. Went down well with canapés and Henckel Trocken. Prost!

Yes 6.9 forever, you do have a camera, I believe. Any luck with photos ? As a matter of interest, my partner today bought a new car with similar looks to the A-Class, but at somewhat less than half price - after trade-in. Anyone would like to guess ?.....before I let the cat out of the bag !

Incidentally, she'll be trading her 2000 Holden Statesman (waiting for 14 day delivery of new car). Anyone interested to purchase the Statesman ? Great, great car, Chevy V8 (5.7 litre), economical, quiet and heaps of power. Leather interior and carpets totally unmarked, electric sunroof and an excellent collection of invoices for work carried out, and maintenance performed. We were the third owner of the car. They are still selling for even $8K., but we are looking for a mere $5.5K. An excellent buy at that price. Please see details on TK about the car, called The "Styria" Thread. Regards Styria

Hi guys, Kia and Toyota are NOT in the picture. Corollas I have never liked (and don't ask me for a valid reason) and the i30 ? Just don't know, sometimes you like them, yet at other times the shape does not appeal. I realize, of course, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One of the models to attract serious consideration was the Mazda 2 - very definite in styling (not quite to my liking - just a little extreme), but it had been Julie's first choice up until........ Yes indeed, the Focus came into play, but just a little on the expensive side. That left the Fiesta that, to all intents and purposes, is attracting the best reviews. Alas, it was not to be....Skoda - too much of VW in them. Have heard some horror stories about reliability issues and cost of parts and servicing. Regards Styria

Got a nice black '06 Yaris you could have bought Styria would love to part with the Yaris and buy another Mercedes!

I have done it again trying to sell the Yaris without prior permission PLEASE don't tell the Boss I tried to sell her car!


Styria thought about a Citroen DX or a 450SLC Merc I am apparently brilliant at finding those! lol.

I don't understand Mercedes Benz,,,

They have done these mini-launches at dealers throughout the country.

Matt Kean went to one and I know of many others, yet for the journalists, it will be launched this coming Thursday and Friday!

Citroen DX - now there is a car, but again I start thinking of VW, Peugeot and cost of servicing. Ofonteney had a Citroen with 'horror stories' in its canvas bag, yet the Citroen Xsara I had extended use of in Europe on two occasions (each of five week periods) was an absolute paragon of reliability and handling. I am afraid the OZ country throws up some real challenges to some of those European imports. So, Citroen it is not. Yaris - no, as I said, Toyota did not come into the reckoning. Regards Styria
