I find it funny that sometimes a car is released and I my initial reaction is mixed or even yuk. But then later it grows on me and I learn to love it. I found that with the Ford XD and then the XE. I never liked the XF and that hasn't changed. Never liked the EA but like the EL. Never liked AU but now like some versions. Always liked the BAs. Not so much with the FG.
When I first saw the Benzes I thought they all looked the same! But Now I know different. Loved W116, less so W126. Hated W140 although I loved the build and tech.
Love the Gullwing after many years of being indifferent. Loved the W107. The later SL (chassis W???) I found too bulky looking, even though they were impressive to drive.
Loved W123. Quite liked the W124, especially the coupes.
Didn't really like the E (round) twin headlights. The last model I learned to love.
And now we have the new one and I hope I learn to love it! To me the bonnet is too flat and needs some C style bulges. The headlights are going in a strange direction and I'm still struggling with the SL ones

I hope they don't have all that stop start crap on them.
They gave me a new C class the last time my E500 was in for a service and it drove me bonkers.
The service manager said "if you can afford a car like this you ought to be able to pay for the fuel" and I totally agree with him and would worry about maintenance problems down the track foir a relatively small fuel saving.

PS I love the new look for the four door but the coupes and cabriolet versions are C classes with the price jacked up to E class levels without the refinement or space.
