Beautiful looking Coupe.

Whilst out walking the dog I did walk past a black C63 AMG Coupe breath taking!

Got some strong Mercedes design influences in it, but I also see Hyundai and Mazda influences as well, especially in the overall shape.
Perhaps that is not a bad thing, but it does not stand out anywhere as much as a W116 did amongst other cars of it's era.

The W116 was initially designed during the 1960s - an era of confidence and expansion. There was the willingness to be bold and innovative; today we are less sure of our social direction and few makers dare to be too different from the international trends in case the buyer might reject the product and doom the company to ruin.

Wraith certainly is distinctive - more so in the metal than in photos.
Yesterday I had the privilege of playing with some very distinctive cars owned by a friend; a Facel Vega HK500, an Alvis TE21 saloon and a Bentley S3 drophead. The Alvis is so pretty and the lines so neat; the Facel Vega so styled as to be handsome and the Bentley carried the same angles and curve through every panel. Alas, the individual interpretation expressed by the three every different makes is no longer visible in mainstream cars - and remember, the S Class Benz is a mainstream produce.

A few years ago there was a Facel Vega on display at the Tea Gardens Motorfest I wonder if it is the same car?

Not the same Facel Vega Tim - this one has just landed from the UK and has not been out on the public roads yet.
It is silver with a green interior.
