450SEL For Sale (2nd Owner)

I thought i would start a new thread for that.

As space is becoming very scarce at my place with the addition of the CLK, one car has to go...

And unfortunately that has to be the least driven of the cars....
The one owner Blue 450SEL that Jerry has just de-rusted and resprayed (a year ago).

I am not asking a lot for it... Just a decent offer.

It is on Club Rego but I can organise a blue slip.

The four doors and let me assure you they are NOT discoloured, but I took the pictures while the car was parked in my spray booth and the conditions for photography are not the best.

More of the interior. Again the lighting is NOT the best and the colours look wrong, but I can assure you the interior is not discoloured at all.

Here's the genuine speedo with more than 356K on it.



You will need a radio... It had some after market unit that the previous owner wanted and this 'dummy' is owned by Styria (and it doesnt work anyway)



It is a 1976 model, it has 355,000kms very well serviced and maintained mechanically. It is a K-Jet.
It was straight, but neglected in the interior and rust was coming through.

Jerry spent three weeks solid (the equivalent of three months in a normal shop) on the car, cutting rust, making new rust repair pieces where needed.
It leaks a little in the boot although I put new (aftermarket) door and boot rubbers.
It runs great and is quite reliable.

I have seen it and can vouch for the fact that it is a clean, neat and very sharp looking car. I have not driven it but if it goes half as well as it looks then it is good.

Looks extremely neat and well cared for, whoever buys the car is gonna have a very nice W116 example indeed.

I am asking less than what it owes me: $5500.

It would be nice to see the car go to a good home - I was involved in quite a bit of the work, primarily interior wise over a lengthy period of time, and at the advertised asking price, it is good value for money. As Michel says, it's not perfect, but it certainly presents well. Regards Styria
