The photos give you a clear indication of the quality of the Mercedes on display last Sunday.

Here's to the 2015 Concourse being even more successful!

The 450SL is going well, we took it down to Canberra the weekend before for the All German Day, which was also a great day.

I've just purchased the W108 a month ago, as a project, so spending a bit of time (and money) getting it up to snuff.

it looks pretty good - no idea it was a project seeing it at the conc last weekend.

The next Concourse is 12 months away quick hit the panic button!


Sorry poor attempt at humour on a warm Sunday arvo.

New genuine bonnet heat insulation pad has been ordered should arrive this week.

Sunroof guide angle rails are being replaced next month.

Existing s/roof guide rails are broken.

The tilt & slide action on the s/roof still works.

S/roof will not open & close fully.

Time to get quotes to get the rocker cover blasted and repainted.

Will have to get quotes to get the front & rear bumpers repainted.

Still plenty to do before next years Concourse.

You forgot they mentioned damaged guard in there judging .

Well the plan for October is to get the insulation pad replaced and the rocker cover repainted.

November sunroof guide angles replaced with new genuine parts.

As for the bumpers damaged removed and repainted that well happen.

Just going to budget for the s/roof guide rails, insulation pad and rocker cover all that expense before Christmas.

That is a reasonable approach Tim - you do need to be careful not to overspend on the car.

Exactly right Brian.

300SE is a great car enjoy driving the car and always receive great feedback from people in regards to the car.

I do know a guy who has spent $15K on his 560SEL this year wow!

Spending is easy to do but hard to find the money to support- maybe just enjoy your car as it is and don't get too fussed about winning the Concours - your car is in great condition; enjoy it.
