I have a set 8 x 16 e11. Not sure if I have the Centre caps though. In fact I’m not sure if I even want to sell them!

I had a set on Blue Flame that were damage & I bought the current set as replacements, but I don’t think they had caps. I intended to use the caps from the wheels on the car but then found they didn’t fit. Apparently there’s early and late versions.... As a result I was going to machine my own caps but then decided to sell the car. Hence wheels no caps.

I love the look of the centra’s but it has to be the 15” or 16” as they have that bit of extra lip, like a deep dish rim. Almost give in on a set of 14” but I couldn’t live with no lip.
Heard the centra caps are a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, different years, curv, locking bolt even the size and Mercedes badge is a different size and colour depending on year.

Bryce, the Gumtree Ad. is no longer available. However, the second set as shown on Ebay would seem ideal for what Irvine wanted and, whatsmore, with near new tyres the asking price seems reasonable. I still remember Blue Flame - many years ago, when owned by Black Hands (I think that was his user name), we did a lot of work on that car.

Some rustwork was carried out, and we also completely resprayed the car. The job was just O.K. unfortunately. The painter I used was big on talk, but small on execution - in other words, the quality was just so so. My task consisted of replacing a torn rubber boot on the right driveshaft. Oversize, that car has now gone to the Northern Territory - am I correct ? It also had been converted to LPG. Regards Styria

Yes and yes it was on LPG when I bought it. One tuff car!! Pity I couldn’t keep it but you can keep everything! At least she has the correct speedo now instead of the 450 one. Some red instrument lights added too...
