A another task that I’ve completed today is the calibration/alignment of the door clothes position in respect to it being flush with the surrounding body work.
This was quite a simple task relatively, it was achieved by repositioning the door striker assemblies on the pillars of the vehicle.
For those Allen head bolts, I found a beneficial to use a nail punch and a hammer to give each respective Allen Bolt a quick and sharp impact with the said punch and hammer combo.
When it comes time for loosening off each Allen screw I then also gave the Allen head socket bit a few taps to ensure it was properly bedded in.
All four doors required alignment, and of course, as to be expected the driver’s door required a significantly larger adjustment in order to make it once more flush with the bodywork.
Please excuse the vehicles condition, paint and further bodywork is still pending into the near future I hope. I continue to address small tasks whenever I can in order to ensure the vehicle is up to scratch.
The photos do not do any justice to what has been achieved here however, in person, the transformation is noticeable.
