Tim it sounds like another case of if you have to ask then you can't afford it!! Consider the highest price you've seen for a W126 in this climate and it'd be somewhere around that. Or think of a price and double it!

Obviously I can not afford Simon's 300SE mind you the car is not for sale so why should I even continue to bother with the car.

On Thursday I called in to see the guy who purchased my 260E well after a month the 260E was so dirty due to the weather!

I nearly shed a tear when I saw how dirty the 260E was not use to seeing the 260E look like that!


New owner Ian said he would give the car a wash and the wheels were so black fingers crossed Ian does wash the car.

Oh well the 260E is now Ian's car mind you Friends have told me they have seen the car driving around the Bay they to were shocked to see how dirty the 260E was.

Hi Tim i did a Holden VL Turbo up in the early 90's got the car into the Summernats top 80 hall sold the car just after . Saw the car 4 weeks after selling the car for $20000 above what someone would pay for a normal VL Turbo car . It had scrapping all the way down the passenger side was covered in dirt and brake dust caked on the wheels. Spoke to the new owner reply was its mine to abuse and misuse. Found out he wrote it off 2 weeks later and was being pursued by insurance company for insurance iregularitys in his claim. The moral is once you sell its better to not think about what happens. I spent over $50000 on mods to that car including winning sound off award at the Summernats. Geoff
