Wiring Factory Problem

Where would we be without the Internet.....
Our 204 C Class 2010 70ks car had a modified Rear Light Cluster wiring replaced under Warranty, a known issue back in 2010. Problem has returned as the Mercedes fix was a band aid. They will still repair it, as the plastic of the connectors melts. The Ground wire can't handle the current draw. But I need to jump through hoops to get them to even acknowledge the issue. Much simpler to solder on a heavy extra ground wire from the Cluster to the Body Earth connection. A half Hour Job and a permanent fix.

Problem fixed. I knew it was an Earthing problem as all the lights in the cluster were affected. As we are all aware the negative battery terminal provides the Currant i.e., the Electron flow is - to +. For the wiring diagrams it does not matter. They were established before it was discovered that the Electrons flow the opposite Way. Too hard and too late to change.
