The MAKING of RED PIG

Hi EVERYONE,

I am still interested of making a RED PIG version of my own , i specially bought W108 for that and work is going on - still far from finish but i do post now in relation to the drive train - the power plant i intend to use is a straight 6 mercedes benz engine model 1992 and all info regard this engine will be appreciated, here is a photo for it.

This is a tame engine and you're gonna have a little red piglet Tarek

On a more serious note, 108s have been fitted with sixes before...
I'm sure your mechanic will be able to adapt the later six.

LOL MICHEL , i know about the piglet but i want a street legal car and the Engine you saw is replacing another 5 cylender DIESEL enging ( very loud and i don't think it is sportive) plus it is 59 cm long the new is about 78 cm - here is my worries.

What we need to do is find someone with a 108 fitted with a six and measure the original engine.

Anyone on the this Forum has a 108 with a six cylinder?

Dear MICHEL, i saw the RED PIG ( original photo ) with the huge v8 real thing , the problem which i feel that the engine i will use looks longer ( though my mechanic say it will fit) with like 18 cm .and will he put all the parts appear in the photo i post? i wonder.

Hi Michel, Mercfan7 (?), in other words Paul Fail, has a 116 with 280 engine. Perhaps you could prevail upon him to look at Tarek's post, then measure his (Paul's) engine, and let us know the measurements. Regards Styria

Would the six in the 108 be the same (length) as the one in the 116?

Hi GODFATHER & MICHEL and all , same engine is fitted here on one 126 SEL and one 126 SEC , my MECHANIC said it is easy to fit in the 108 but the operation didn't start yet.

Hi Tarek, maybe your mechanic has provided the answer for you. I would imagine though that the late 3-litre engine would probably be a bit longer. Regards Styria

Geez you don't muck around do you Tarek? That took real guts to take an angle grinder to those rear quarters and the result looks impressive.

What do you need parts for; it looks like you guys can MAKE anything!!!! And I'll never whinge about working on a car in the open ever again!!!
