Removing the Ignition Barrel & Steering Lock

Has anyone here removed the igntion barrel before??

I mean removing all of the items, including the steering lock (through the steering column).

I've removed the ignition barrel before, but from my understanding you need to use the ignition barrell to remove the steering lock.. Please explain?

Also does anyone have a wiring diagram for the wires connected to the ignition barrel, and what's what?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks Martin. That's the process I thought, can you just confirm where the acual pin is located for the steering lock?? And is it possible to remove the steering lock completely????

I don't remember exactly where the pin is, that's why you need the mirror. However, the whole assembly does pull out once the pin is pressed down.
