I read that the new Mercedes Ute has Nissan Engine and Transmission etc ,etc.
So join the Club.... i.e, Volvo Engines in Peugeot's .. Renault etc., etc.
As the CEO of Audi has admitted, that the difference between an Audi and a V W was the Badge on the front and the Badge on the Back.
Costing exercises.

P.S. I drove a Skoda with the new V W Family of engines, a three Cylinder 1000cc Turbo
plenty of Power for the Polo sized Cars... next size up is plus 500ccs bound for the Mk V111 Golf next year.

The X Class will initially be available with one Nissan engine modified to suit Mercedes-Benz.
A single turbo diesel four cylinder and a twin-turbo version.
It is expected that by 2018 a V6 Benz diesel will be added to the mix.
M-B has stated there will be no petrol variants for Australia!
