Finally....my 6.9 has some history to it!!

Call me eccentric, call me mad.....call me weird.......I don't care!!!!!

I needed a driver's side seat belt because mine was "buggered!"
I went to my local Merc mechanic/wrecker and took one off a W123, fitted it to mine and now it works perfectly.
(Of course I didn't buy it off him as that would be illegal, wouldn't it???...)

After I fitted it to mine he told me that that W123 originally belonged to Tommy Hanlon Jr. (He has all the papers showing that)
So now everytime I do up my seatbelt ....... well you know the rest...

(Shut up......I'm NOT strange...honest!!)

Hi Bandy, haven't read up his details in Wikipaedia - is that how one spells it ? Anyway, didn't the man commit suicide by gassing himself in a W123?Wow, Bandy, some history ! Or possibly, I am getting him mixed up with Jimmy Hannan jr. - also a comedian and he definitely committed suicide to the consternation of every one that used to watch his TV shows on a regular basis.
