600- Ch. 100 Chequered history

I hope our good friends from the M100 site don't mind - I was surfing the net to see what "In Aller Welt" magazines were available, and their asking price. Unwittingly, I came across the link being referred to hereunder. The pictures certainly make fantastic looking, and any history if it could be ascertained and investigated, would make fantastic reading.

Even the pictures alone of the cars, and who they belonged to, are an absolute eye opener. Enjoy. Regards Styria

Actually, I wasn't aware that the thread had so many replies - I thought it'd be photos and that would be the beginning and the end. Looking at the history of these M100-Ch.100 models, it is quite paradoxical that generally rulers from poor or Third World countries would indulge in the purchase of these cars.

I look at the sad condition of the Sultan of Brumei's car, as well as the Gabon car, and you have to ask yourself just to what degree proper servicing and repairs could have been carried out. Did they have the qualified personnel, or was it a case of flying in a specialist mechanic from Germany or wherever to rectify any problems that may have been experienced with the cars ? I could well imagine that the fitting of hubcaps alone could well have been an onerous task, or perhaps the fitting of engine mounts or Air Bags could well have been beyond their scope of knowledge.
