1986 300SE listed on eBay for sale.

300SE has travelled 104,872kms.

Impressive looking 300SE and the car has been well detailed.

Fix the stone chips on the front - clean properly around the internal sections of the wheel arches - fix the rusty bolts to some of the wheels - etc. etc. no; it's not Concours condition despite what the advertisement claims. No; it's not worth the asking price unless the furniture is included and even then I am not sure it's really good enough.

Thanks for pointing out some of the flaws of the car Brian something I did not see myself at first glance.

$28,500 is a bit ambitious.

With low kms how long has the car been not in use and the fluids have been changed?

Trying to think where I have seen the number plates before?

Surely the manifolds would want to look more presentable for a car being advertised for sale as in Concourse condition?

The radiator expansion tank does not look be in 'Concourse', condition either.

All cars have flaws; that goes with being a mechanical device that is used - a Concours winner is the one with the least number of flaws. On the basis of that, I am not being critical of the car - indeed it looks like it has great potential but it probably needs more work before it becomes a winner.

Good point about cars having flaws Brian.

I saw a $470,000 white Porsche at the spray painters last week I was shown the close up flaws of the Porsche.

Colour discolouration was a shock the Porsche is only a few weeks old.

The 300SE for sale does have potential no doubt about that.

But a car being advertised as in 'Concourse condition', well it better be perfect surely?!
