iChrome wheel arches do indeed look nice. My car has them.
I will NOT take them off.
Why?
I am very afraid that, with the potential for dust and mud to accumulate behind them, there is serious probability of finding grievous RUST!

All u need to do is high-pressure wash them every once in a while.
I do that to the mouldings of my old Chevys.

The real problem with wheel arch moulds is one of proper fit - or lack thereof. For some reason, well it's really poor design, the moulds do not fit well in certain areas of the body - and the cut-outs on the moulds are always in slightly the wrong area.

Gleaming Beauty at various times (my 6.9) was fitted with moulds, but deterioration of old ones, fitting of new, meant there were just so many fitting holes in the guards, and the whole concept started to look ugly (well, with what I COULD SEE AND KNEW IT WAS THERE so that, in the end, I fitted 'virgin' replacement guards free of holes. Additionally, when attaching the sides of the AMG reproduction spoiler to the front guards, there is preciously little space to also fit the moulds - the edges of the front bar are also inclined to interfere with the proper fitting process. Yes, it is a wonderful looking car in a lovely colour combination and probably a very good buy at that price.
Is it just my imagination or is the interior far more pleasant than a modern Benz - more like a comfortable club than a flight deck?

BenzBoy, colour does make a difference, and in this instance, the interior does indeed convey a feeling of warmth and well being. Overall really, this is a beautifully kept car, in what appears to be in lovely condition, with low mileage to boot. Perhaps a little overpriced, but then again aren't we always complaining when substandard and sub-condition cars are offered for sale. For a change, we have a nice car to deal with. Good advice on how to keep w/arch moulds clean thanks guys.

The 300SE has been very well detailed inside and out judging from the photos.

Really like the colour combination of the 300SE.

54,000kms that is such low kms for a 1989 car!

If I lived in Victoria I would go and have a look at the car and of course take the car for a test drive how could you not.
