These are worth good money with
- the right colour
- low mileage
- full history

This car has all three. I still think the price is more like less than 100k and so its a bit overpriced, but people will spend big money on low mileage cars.

Personally I don't see it as I want to actually use the car and not worry about every drive reducing its value.

You can still pick up a nice SEC for reasonable money, but not sure for how long.

This car is lovely and it obviously has a lot of sentimental value to the owner. However, sentimental value doesn't translate into $ value and unfortunately a 230/8 is not a particularly valuable car.

I think the price will have to drop more for a sale.

Serviced well, one owner.
Are these made in Germany?

This model C class were made in different factories all around the world, but not sure about the wagons. Mercedes didn't always do production of the niche models in all factories.

If you get the VIN, you can look it up and tell.

As she is so low, there are a few scrapes on her, but interior looks 9/10.

My wife drives a 2007 E350 wagon, I guess this car's bigger brother. Its been quite a good car for us, and in my view superior to an SUV.

I discovered an interesting feature on it today. when you put the car in reverse with the windscreen wipers on, it turns on the rear wiper automatically until you take the car out of reverse. You can also control the rear wiper manually on the stalk.

Yes; that has been a feature of MB wagons and SUVs since the first ML in the late 90s and possibly earlier. It would make sense to me to have a rear wiper on our CLK350 as well.
