W126 looking 6.9

It is an exceptionally nice looking car - located in Switzerland. I really like the frontal treatment - I'd probably still prefer the original chrome bumpers on the standard car, but this one does take a lot of beating. Incidentally, if you look closely, you'll find the rear courtesy lights missing - they didn't come out until 1978, I believe. Regards Styria

lol for the german lesson but i am with Michel Godfather the car is not up to either w116 nor w126 it looks less , but nice try

IMHO the W116 was always a tougher looking car than the W126 which had rounded everything and plastic bumpers. And the large star in the middle of the grill looks wrong with the chrome surround of the S Class.

What were they thinking?

Thinking Black window trim door handles and mirrors and boot trim. Brown bumpers and grill with black centre and amg front spoiler. with my new polished and brown centred penta's. I have a pair of XA GT alloy scoops thinking of fitting them to the bonnet and painting black.
