I have been speaking to a guy in Melbourne who has a 1988 Impala Brown 560SEL.

The 560SEL has 567,000kms on the clock.

John the owner of the 560SEL has had professional photos taken at night.

I spoke to John and got his approval to post the photos of his Mercedes.

The photos are excellent and the car is on very good condition for the mileage.

I would not even look at buying a car with that many Km no matter how nice it looks . With that many its a parts car nothing more nothing less. That means when my 6.9 gets there and it will. I would not sell it as I would not have someone drive a car with such mileage. My life my risk but would not inflict on any one else. Over 500K metal fatigue becomes a issue. So it has no value and 99% off buyers would be the same look at the cars trying to sell with such mileage. They don't sell.

To answer your question I just looked at the pictures previous comments I had not looked as mileage told me what I needed to know. Looks nice but previous comments stand mileage equals parts car. That mileage means I have a closed mind which is how the market is . Its a orphan at that mileage.

Oh dear - you need that Coles Spanking Machine more desperately than I realised!
It is NOT for sale; it is there to admire. I suspect the owner is very happy with it and not about to part it out.
Let's just say "nice" things about a it and admire it for the excellent example that it is.

Membership will not increase when cars are being critized. Would you be surprized to learn the owner has read this thread and was quite upset by some of the comments?? Despite the age or km some people will spend big on their cars and we shouldn't devalue them or ask why

Ok it looks good alot better than my car. I would love my car to look as good when I repaint it. I was just being checky so to the owner sorry. It's a great looking car.

I'd rather have a car in good condition regardless of what the speedo reads. There are plenty of low km cars that are trashed and abused by owners who don't care. IMO 100,000km freeway driving beats 20k city over speed bumps and roundabouts any day.
The owner of the 560SEL in question should be proud of this beauty, it's a credit to him and his service facility .
