'Smarty-Pants' ! Anyway, BenzBoy, what is the Henry Royce Foundation ? Have not heard of this organization. This car, No. 3, must have had US origins. When I was at C. F. Mirbach in Austria, they had a LHD Corniche Convertible, and my guide suggested that it was very, very rare, being one of only 3 (?) or 8 (?) in the world. Are you able to comment on that claim ?

Unfortunately, in that section of Mirbach's area, I was not allowed to take photos - in fact, the taking of photos was strictly "Verboten" - took a bit to overcome that ruling. Regards Styria

I suggest your guide was misled.
Unless there was any other unusual feature on that Corniche, LHD models would have been the majority of production.
There must be a few thousand of them in Beverly Hills alone, in Florida they are probably no good for posing any more, the new Phantom has taken over there, certainly there are a few around Nice, Antibes, Cannes & Monte Carlo (in the 'shadow' of the original Corniche!) and they used to be fashionable around southern Spain.
If there were only eight made, they sure got around a lot!

I guess the guide was a salesman? The majority were LHD and quite a few were dropheads but I would have to read up on the exact numbers.
The Sir Henry Royce Foundation is a charitable foundation dedicated to preserving the remaining literature and works of Sir Henry Royce. It exists on all continents and collects literature, cars and information. The Australian collection is kindly housed by Lindsay Fox who is a collector of many R-R and M-B products himself. You may recall he was the importer and service agent for R-R for some time.
The SHRF publishes chassis drawings and data on CD for all the early models to help in servicing and restoration. For example, I have a CD of the original chassis and engine drawings for my PII but alas, no mention of Savigear.

I always liked the Camargue too.
Apparently not eveyrone's taste they do sometimes get criticised for being too flash, and a bit big, but never bothered me.
It does seem to depend on the colour too, and that one looks just fine.
I read they tilted the radiator forward a couple of degrees to get the look right.
A good one in Europe would be a bit less than that, about AU$70K, but probably not such low kms.
I too have a problem with being a few dollars short unfortunately, or I would be on my way to QLD.
The Camargue region in France has always been one of my favourite places too.
