Hi Mark, I have just come across your query. When I purchased Gleaming Beauty, the speedo was the normal stard 260km/h Speedo. At some stage, I found a 450 Speedo showing both miles and kilometres, but the error margin was 20%.
Subsequently, Oscar located a genuine 260 km/hour Speedo that reads in miles. It is very rare to find one of those, and I did fit it to Gleaming Beauty probably about three years ago. BTW, I still have the twin reading 450 Speedo - it also is very rare and I am quite keen to sell it. Regards Styria
Thanks Styria, it's great to finally find the right part. I've done the same but still haven't fitted it!
The missus is still in hospital but should be coming home on Tuesday. We're then headed to QLD for a short holiday and then I'm hoping to get stuck into things (finally).
Should be even better as work will be only 15 minutes away (instead of 2hrs for the last 18months)....
And in that price I assume they include a new leather interior and full bare metal respray?
(and repair the faulty petrol gauge...)
Sure looks like a car that's been baked in the sun for a while.....
Regards,
Brian
Isn't this what they call "patina" ? Honestly, their sales spiel, as per each and every car they advertise, is nothing short of just that - sales spiel. Quite frankly, I'd be ashamed of advertising a car with the sort of decay this upholstery is in. Regards Styria
