Hi Michel i am shocked No Milan Brown i could have sworn it was your favourite colour. I am still perplexed as to what colour to paint my car but it will be fun when it happens

I second your openion on praising the BENZBOY w116 pics it is abosolute beauty samples of the BENZ COLORS.

and TO THE PROF BRIAN , this is the second time i sink in your post finding answers for my inquiry , first time you list cars for sale and i found one CHRYSLER WINDSOR late 40 i was thinking of lately and those 116 colors i found my 904 which i will use for my BLU project.

Tourmaline is the color I had mine painted, and I believe it is a late 90's GM color. I like anything that is teal or close to it to purple (The color of our Suburban). Mine came-out a little darker than I was expecting, but I still love the color of it.

I hate red just for the fact that growing-up, my Mom had EVERYTHING red. Every car she ever had was red with white interior, red hair, red and white kitchen........so I tend to stay away from reds. Brown is my next least favorite color on a car. No matter what it is, it either looks like root beer or a turd, so no brown for me, lol.

Funny how things just happen.... Whilst buying my new(er) wheels I came across this W129 in the very same street and in THAT elusive colour (built in April 1992)! By chance the owner came out as I was leaving and we had a short chat. Seems like there wasn't many brought into the country. I left my number and he was going to get back to me with the colour. Any ideas?? How close is that to Petrol Blue??

For me, ANYTHING but blacks, whites, silvers or Milan Brown.

Whites are for commercial vehicles, silvers are just too common, and with blacks, it is almost impossible to keep spiderweb scratches under control. Oh yes! And I just don't like Milan brown....!

Mercedes should have offered a two tone option for the W116.
The body shape lends itself to this treatment.

When I cull it down I'll probably get the chance to paint at least two in a colour of my choice. Black's always been a dream and a copper or bronze might be the other. The Buick will have to be something pretty special!
