Found this great video of Facebook - if you're old and a bit of an enthusiast and car buff like me, you will appreciate it. Sean, do you hear ? Anyway, I also just love the rendition of California Blue - how exquisite. Enjoy. Regards Styria

....and the second tune isn't all that bad, either. Beautiful to dance to. Don't ask me how I know.

Patrick and Sean, I am truly sorry that you guys are unable to see this video. As C107 suggested, it's probably due to the fact that neither of you are Facebook members. As I said, this video is truly representative of the time when British cars and the industry were at their highest level. Regards Styria

Thanks for the memories Michel there is scarcely a Car there that I have not worked on over the past 70 years...... and not forgetting the Yanks when I lived in America. From my first Car a 1932 Austin 7 to current Electronically controlled C Class Mercedes. Basically the same as Herr Otto designed,:D just more development .....

I’ve lost count how many times I have had to tie a tie for workmates when we have official functions.

The art of dressing properly and with pride is almost dead.

Well except for Brian and his collection of exquisite bow ties

My pet hate is the way so many dress for flights, even in J class shorts, thongs and singlets are far to often seen.

Don't get me started.....
Usually, these are employees, going on company business trip, not having paid for it, nor valuing the trip, but acting like a yobo at home...

I always make a point of having a coat (suit jacket) when I check in and when I board the plane, in whatever class I happen to be travelling in.

Thank you Patrick. The collection grows each year...
And I always dress in collar and jacket for a flight. We were supposed to be on QF2 last weekend returning home but alas we did not depart so had nowhere from whence to return.

Regards,
Brian

I miss seeing those wonderful bow ties Brian.

A more impeccably dressed president I have never seen.

I lost all interest in the RROC when you stepped down.

I also dress for flights, it makes me feel good about getting up at 3am to fly out.

It is a real shame as Michel correctly mentions, slobs on flights act like slobs, which infects all around them.

I say to my kids, it takes exactly the same amount of time to get nicely dressed as it does to get slovenly dressed.

Clothes maketh the Man....
I do recall, when our Daughters were Teens, berating them for going out looking like something the Cat dragged in. Seemed to have sunk in, our Garand Daughters... their Daughters are always nicely attired. ..... four of ,.. 13 through 25:)
