An 'E' type (in any shape or condition) is the most luscious looking car ever designed...

Not wishing to open an old wounds, but I am of the strong belief that no one gets cured from the love of an E-Type!

You might be in remission...

But once bitten by the E-Type bug, alas, you can never recover :D

LOL @ MICHEL , correction to my last post -it was around 1970 when my parents get me a SHRINK to start counting the bad choice i would make if i kept insisting on buying an E TYPE , first no spare parts for this model so what a bad choice i would make by having car just sitting in the garage for lack of parts?
TWO - So expensive to maintane and keep running , etc ... i had to settle for the FIAT which was still sportive and less trouble ... still i suffer for a while but never had the chance to drive a JAG or own one.

I do have a soft spot for the E-Type Jaguar a beautiful car the bodywork of the E-Type I am very impressed!

At the Hawks Nest Motorfest and the Hunter MG Car Club Euro Motorfest there has been a bright red E-Type on display well it is simply a stunning car!

Love it!

When I was a kid, there was a guy up the road that had a fire engine red one with a white top. I have been in love with them ever since.

LOL, if it was diesel, I would be driving one on WVO like I do the W116. :)

I actually had tossed around the idea of getting a diesel Jag, but they don't really sell them here.

The rain Styria - the rain. No-one mentioned an incontinence problem. It's not that kind of forum (?)
Regards,
Brian

Well, I didn't realize that you were talking about rain etc. anyway, whichever way it goes, I certainly wouldn't be offended by anyone wishing to comment on British cars in general, or Rovers in particular. It takes a lot more than that to offend me. However, if we must talk British, I am all for it.......

I've owned a couple of Jaguars, viz. a Mark V Convertible that required
, or should I say desrved, restoration. At the time, I envisaged ten grand and there was no way that I was ever going to have that amount readily at my disposal. If one only knew.....Anyway, the second was a !967 Jaguar 3.8S. I bought it with low mileage (48K. miles) and by 80K. the head had to come off due to a burned out exhaust valve. Even though I had a mechanic's assistance, in realty that level of work was really beyond what I was capable of fixing. We're talking about shims to adjust tappets, twin overhead camshafts etc. Well, I got it going - long enough for the bottom timing chain to rattle after I had lent the car to a friend. I can only assume he flogged it. Anyway, in due course I sold it, with some regret, but it did need a better home and certainly proved to be of some disappointment. Enough to realize that, really, I would never want another Jaguar. Incidentally, it did not leak water. So, I can talk a bit about Rovers. That's yet to come. Regards Styria
