He makes good points and I agree with the example he provides. Later model Original wheels , eg 2008 on don’t fall into this category. Also aftermarket wheels are getting better, comes down to you get what you pay for.
I agree with one of the comments that older Mercedes look the best, most classy with their original wheels. They all look OK with the right lowered stance and fancy rims but standard Mercedes wheels just look "right".
As long as the wheels meet accepted standards like ADR or German TUV standards or other that are recognized they are regularly better that oem wheels the problem is cheap wheels from 3rd world countries built to a price not a standard.
