I would have thought that it should have rated higher than 24th. When they're good, they're brilliant. When not, they're awful. Big worry is under bonnet accessability. Lovely engine/gearbox combination. Regards Styria

BTW, it is my understanding that Ant's 6.3 is now returning about 18 miles to the gallon during his commuting - that's an excellent figure. Regards Styria

I must admit that there are big holes in the way the list was compiled... For instance, a 'muscle' car suggests a gran touring V8 from the late 60s to early 70s, before emission regulations were introduced. Yet there were many later cars included on the list. It did include cars from all around the globe, but there was no mention of the Buick GSX, or the latest MB 63s... I haven't got a copy handy, but I don't think it had the GTO, or GT40 either.

Clearly a flawed list, but good that a classic did get a mention.

Very long story, but in brief, it went to a repairer more than 2 years ago, the work was (presumably) done, paid for, and now he won't return it. Latest is that he is now claiming storage - which legally he cannot do, but he seems to have some strange idea that he is entitled to be paid. I won't name who it is, even though I should, but he is known and a member of the M100 community.

At this stage, the insurance company, Financial Ombudsman Service and the Police are involved, so I'm hoping for early resolution - but then I've been waiting for that since October, so who knows what the outcome will be, and when.

Worthy of note is the fact you can't be charged with stealing your own property.... Break n enter is a different story tho!!

Seems very strange that you go to collect the car and suddenly a storage fee appears. I'd have thought you'd have to be notified of the potential fees prior to the event? Maybe in writing? But if the terms were all verbal then maybe your mechanic's become a little confused over the years....

He charged, and was paid for, returning the car to where he collected it from, so yes, he is very confused !
