you guys make me laugh, my wife anf i was trying to post some pictures of some pentas, but we goofed, please help us out, how do we post picturs????

The easiest way is to post a pic is this way:

Reply to this in the normal fashion and as your reply window opens up go down to 'additional options' :

In the section called 'Attach Files', click on 'Manage Attachments'.
Another window will open up with 10 empty lines and the word 'browse' at the end of each.

Click on 'browse' and find the pic you want to upload.
You can do that up to 10 times.

When you have finished finding the pics you wish to upload, the click on 'upload' on the far right of the bottom line and wait for it to happen.

After a little while (depending on the size and number of pics uploaded), the 'manage attachments' window will show you your 'current attachments' listed.

Close that window and submit your reply.

Voila!

thank you sir: now my question, i want to purchase these wheels, the gentleman says they are amg pentas, but there is nothing on the outside to say what they are, will pull off car tomorrow to check inside, they are 15", not sure about offset, he says the information was removed possibly before chroming. regardless, he wants 200.00 for set, what do you all think?, also a few pictures of my old beast of burden, looking a little rough now, but promise by summer she will be shining, thanks again sir.

Well firstly I'll say how sweet it is that you and your wife are having a go together!! It's fantastic to have a supportive other-half.

Those wheels look like copies because the genuine ones have cast markings on the outside which aren't easy to remove. Plus the original ones were 16" in diameter.

Personally I'd have them stripped of the chrome (which seems to be deteriorating anyway), have the rims polished and the centres then painted a darkish colour. $200 is pretty cheap. A good genuine set (unfinished) can be as much as $1K here.

BTW I have a source for AMG centre caps which will make them look even better, but they're around $50AUS plus postage. I'm gunna post some pics and the details for others in another thread soon so watch this space...

i went ahead and purchased wheels, cleaned them up, the wheels were charcoal gray, still have the color on back, also clearly says made in germany, ATS on inside and another number that says 1986. not copies, not sure about offset, but fits perfectly on my 6.9 also tires are in great shape , all 4 for 200.00 not bad.
