It's an old thread, but nevertheless a very important one. One aspect that Oversize hasn't mentioned relates to using the genuine lifting jack when jacking up the car from various jacking points when removing a wheel for whatever service. Even if one depressurizes the system, one can still experience the height setting collapsing on other points of the car and it can become quite a balancing act to secure the car in a steady position. For that reason, the genuine serrated jocks (I find chocks work better - Ed) should be utilized if they are available.
One other issue relates to the design of the jack supplied, particularly also relating to the 6.3 models (as well as the 6.9). The jack has only one upright levering design, and if there is any movement of the car when jacked up, the jack will tip either front or rear and just fold under alongside the body of the car. In my view, the design of the jack leaves a lot to be desired from a safety aspect. Regards Styria
